The path junction at Pletscahanalp, roughly half way between Grütschalp and Allmendhubel, provides a good view ahead to the col near the viewpoint of Maulerhubel. From this point the path contours across the mountainside with the Mittaghorn (3895 m) and Grosshorn (3762 m) forming a majestic backdrop.
